Rebranding Yourself: How to Be Seen Differently Without Changing Yourself

I’m back! I was sitting at work one day and was thinking about who I am, what I stand for, what my passions are, etc. (all of which I know the answers to – finally haha) I even sat down and jotted some adjectives and some things I’m passionate about in my journal. Some of my passions were family, life, inspiring others, blogging, etc. Sometimes we get caught up in the motions and living day by day and this was my way of remembering why I’m doing the things I’m doing.

I read this article and it stated that:

“You have to be aware of your reputation and take control of it in order to position yourself for success.”

It really struck me. You always hear you never know who’s watching – so true. BUT you shouldn’t let what others think of you control your life, but if you know who you are, what you stand for, and how you want people to perceive you when you’re in control. It’s really all about self-confidence, loving yourself, and being who you want to be. Once you get that part you’re ahead of the game and you’re living life as you.

There’s a sense of power you feel when you live life as the person you are and want to become. People can feel the confidence you’re exuding and it’s a good thing. People are drawn to people who are self-confident. Once you’re in control of people’s perception of you can change without you doing a thing. It’s amazing what a little self-assurance and confidence can do.

I encourage each of you to write your name on a piece of paper and under your name put things you’re passionate about, things you love, and adjectives that you would use to describe yourself now and ones that you would want to be described as in the future. Hang it up somewhere accessible, whether that’s in your office, at home on your fridge, or like me in my journal just to remind you that you rock.
