Life & Love | We’re Going Long Distance

Hey guys! You voted on my insta-poll that I post more Life + Style in the coming weeks so here we are – Life + Love. Well, the title of this post gives it away so I’m just gonna say it – Brandon and I are going to be long distance for a little while and I’m not gonna lie it’s a little scary for me. *cue the tears*

And you’re probably wondering, what the heck, where is he moving, what is going on, come on give me the details. Brandon is moving to Chicago for grad school. As some of you know, he’s an RN at the ICU clinic where we live but he wants to practice holistic medicine. He’s going to school to be a chiropractor and study natural medicine. (and I’m so so proud of him <3 )

But what does this mean for us? We’re going to be long distance for a little while. I’m at a good place in my marketing career, have two semesters left until I have my MBA (praise the Lord), and my family is here. The entire relationship we’ve lived in the same city. He’s my best friend, the person who knows me better than anyone, and it’s going to be hard at first. We’ve been through really tough situations before and manage to come back stronger every time so I’m just taking this as another one of those situations. It’s just the distance itself that will be hard. Luckily, flights from Atlanta to Chicago are not that expensive and the flight time itself is short. It’ll be really easy to take off for a weekend a month.

I’m a question-asker so I’ve been picking my friends’ and coworkers’ brains on how they’ve managed successful long distance relationships and each and every one of them has said the same thing along the lines of:

“The time that you get to spend with your loved one becomes so valuable and precious that even though long distance relationships are hard it’ll make you stronger and it’s worth it.”

Here’s to packing (and unpacking) many suitcases, late night flights, loads of coffee, and love.

Hi there! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My website looks weird when browsing from my apple iphone. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to correct this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share. Thank you!
